When life is at its darkest there are those who work their hardest to bring a little light. The UKG and Rebel Legion UK – and their worldwide cousins – do that constantly. Kieron Maxwell, a huge Star Wars fan battling terminal cancer, met with UKG and RL members last weekend and has vowed to make a real difference and leave behind a lasting legacy.

Kieran Maxwell is one of the bravest people we have ever come across & soon he will so very sadly be leaving us.

Kieran, who is just 18, has 2nd relapse Ewing Sarcoma. He has already had a lower leg amputation, had his first relapse, had part of his lung removed & has high dose chemo. Despite all of this, before his 2nd relapse he was training hard to compete in the 2020 paralympics. It was during a routine scan very recently it was discovered the cancer had returned for the 3rd time and nothing can be done.

His family and friends are trying to give him as many magical memories as they can & as Kieran loves Star Wars, one of these was to meet some of his favourite Star Wars characters. So last weekend several members of the UKG & The Rebel Legion UK were lucky enough to visit this incredible young man.

Although Kieran cannot beat his disease, he wants to leave a legacy so that no one else will have the same diagnosis. He wants to raise enough to fund a researcher to look into Ewing’s primarily for relapse Ewing’s which currently has no protocol.

Just read Kieran’s own words to understand what bravery is & if you can, please make a donation for Kieran Maxwell Legacy at http://bit.ly/KMLegacy:
