Teresa’s Favorite Star Wars Gadget #10: The Star Wars Cookbooks

Thanks to the way that I grew up I have always been obsessed with Gadgets and Technology. The one thing that I have noticed trending in merchandise be it Star Wars or any other franchise is the appearance of Gadgets. We have cell phone covers, external speakers, USB devices, alarm clocks and much much more. After looking at some of the newest random gadgets available to the avid Star Wars fan I have decided to compile a list of my top 10 favorite Gadgets. This does not mean that I own them all it just means that I really like them and if I had all the money in the world I would probably buy them all. My plan is to release 1 a day for the next 10 days so that you guys can get a glimpse into the Star Wars Gadget universe…now of course many of these you have seen before but the one thing you have not seen is why a Fangirl likes them! So here is where the fun begins…

The original Star Wars Cookbook “Wookie Cookies and Other Galactic Recipes” was published in 1998. Inside the book were lots of fun recipes like Twin Sun Toast and Galaxy Grilled Cheese. Both of these I have actually made. I would make more of these recipes if I could ever remember about my cookbooks. The first book sold so well that a second version of the book came out with even more fun recipes.

The second book “Darth Malt and More Galactic Recipes” was published in 2000 and came with a Darth Maul face stencil to help make one of the Darth Maul related recipes. The second book also had a different author than the first one but the general look of the book was the same. Out of this second book I have made the Darth Malt several times and it really is pretty good.

In May of this year the 3rd of the cookbooks was released with the title “Wookie Pies, Clone Scones and other Galactic Goodies”. This third book was written by Robin Davis, the same author as the original cookbook and a new writer Lara Starr. I actually do not have this particular book but I am planning on getting it. This particular book appears to come with some cookie cutters in the shapes of Darth Vader, Yoda and R2D2. The book also from looking at its table of contents on Amazon seems to have some of the original recipes from Wookie Cookies and some new ones. I am looking forward to making Obi Won Tons and 3 layer Admiral Ack-Bars. Once I get this and make them I will let you know how they were.

I love these cookbooks because they make cooking fun. I am definitely not the type that loves to cook but when I can make food that has some sort of purpose I am more inclined to actually do it. I also think the food can be great for kids and great for parties. If you do not have these you can pick them up on Amazon and over at Think Geek.

I hope you enjoy cooking up some Star Wars fun.
