Star Wars: The Old Republic To Adopt Free-To-Play Model?

F-R-E-E. Those are 4 letters that everyone just loves to see.

And based on this article from Kotaku, those same 4 letters might very well be applied to the Star Wars: The Old Republic gaming model to help improve its standing with fans, which has taken quite a beating over the past half year or so.

As per lead designer Emmanuel Lusinchi in a recent interview:

“The MMO market is very dynamic and we need to be dynamic as well,” he says. “Unless people are happy with what they have, they are constantly demanding updates, new modes and situations. So we are looking at free-to-play but I can’t tell you in much detail. We have to be flexible and adapt to what is going on.”
