The initial rumor that we reported on earlier pertaining to New Mexico as being a future destination for Episode VII filming appears to have gained some serious traction to it, as a source has reportedly confirmed to our friends at The SWU via the following:

An inside source has confirmed to us that shooting for Star Wars Episode VII will be taking place in various locations across New Mexico. This has long been rumored but our source has confirmed to us that Disney has signed a three year deal to shoot the film in New Mexico and will be opening up a production office there in January.

As always, we can only classify this as a rumor at this point until we hear definitively from either Disney or Lucasfilm on this subject.
