According to an article posted on the website SciFi Fantasy Network, actor Tom Baker of Doctor Who fame will be joining the Star Wars universe to provide voice work for a yet-to-be-announced character.

Talking to fans at the ‘Day of the Doctors’ convention on Slough this weekend, Tom Baker, Doctor Who’s Fourth Doctor, said that he has been cast in the new Star Wars adventures.

“I’m going to be in this new Star Wars thing, you know?” he told eager fans as he signed his autograph. “I’m going down to recording some voices for this new character they’ve created for me, very soon.”

As the article points out, it’s unclear if Baker is referring to recording lines for a specific character in a live-action film or animated series such as Star Wars Rebels. We’ll be sure to update you accordingly on this story as we hear more.

Thanks to our good friend Tim Veekhoven for the heads-up.
