Announced at Star Wars Celebration V by James Burns, covering the event for Jedi News, the merger is just the start of a detailed plan laid out by James and former Lightsabre editor-in-chief Mark Newbold due to roll out over the next year.  Mark continues “I’m hugely excited to be integrating a decade of Lightsabre content across to Jedi News.  James and Adam have built Jedi News from a cold start in May 2007 to quickly become the UK’s biggest Star Wars fan site and the Lightsabre team are thrilled to be joining forces and making Jedi News not only a UK force to be reckoned with but a worldwide force for Star Wars fans.”

James adds “It’s great to be incorporating a decade of Lightsabre content to Jedi News as well as welcoming on board Mark and the existing Lightsabre team.  Lightsabre had become the best place for Star Wars interviews as well as original fan fiction and these new additions fit perfectly within Jedi News.  We look forward to a bigger Jedi News team which is able to do more for fans around the world especially in the UK”.
