January 2017

  • As the New Year starts we continue to mourn the loss of our Princess Carrie Fisher.
  • Build Your Own R2-D2 from DeAgostini is released.
  • Seasons of the Force Arrives at Disneyland Paris.
  • Star Wars Rebels Returns in the US (in the UK we wait till March).
  • Rogue One: A Star Wars Story passes the $1 billion mark.
  • The title to Episode IX is announced as Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
  • UK Toy Fair arrives and with it the first look at the 40th Anniversary logo for Star Wars.

February 2017

  • Star Wars Land Opening set for 2019 at both US parks.
  • John Williams wins a Grammy for The Force Awakens soundtrack.
  • Jedi News travels to New York for the International Toy Fair.
  • Hasbro shows off their 6″ Black Series collection to celebrate the 40th Anniversary at Toy Fair, and makes a limited quantity available immediately.
  • Josh Gad Keeps up the pressure on Daisy Ridley asking more questions during the filming of Murder on the Orient Express.
  • Rancho Obi-Wan announce they’re attending Star Wars Celebration in April.
  • Official Key Art for Star Wars Celebration, by Paul Shipper, revealed.
  • Yakface.com celebrate 20 years.
