Well this certainly isn’t a pleasant email to receive. A short time ago the following email from Amazon arrived in my inbox pertaining to my existing pre-order for The Making of Star Wars: The Force Awakens:

We’ve canceled the item(s) and apologize for the inconvenience. We must also apologize for the length of time it has taken us to reach this conclusion.

After author J.W. Rinzler’s tweet on the subject of the book’s cancellation that he sent out earlier this year, we saw an encouraging report from Slashfilm indicating that the book would in fact be seeing the publishing light of day (just not exactly when). So I guess we’re basically right back to square one as we continue to wait for an official word from Lucasfilm and/or ABRAMS Books…
