As promised and to the sheer delight of many, a brand new trailer for director Ron Howard’s Solo: A Star Wars Story debuted on Sunday night on ABC during the television broadcast of American Idol. The trailer has since been posted to the official Star Wars YouTube Channel in case you missed it (or for those who chose to wait for it to hit the web). I personally avoid trailers for new Star Wars films at all costs, so I cannot comment on any new footage shown in this trailer.

In addition to the new trailer, Lucasfilm also released a new theatrical poster for the film (click the image below for a larger view).

The new trailer has been embedded below for your viewing pleasure followed by the initial Solo TV spot and the first official trailer that were both released by Lucasfilm back in February. Enjoy all three of ’em together!

The second Star Wars standalone film from Disney blasts into theaters May 25 (and one day sooner in the UK).

The official trailer and poster for Solo: A Star Wars Story made their debut today, and they have us wishing we could just make the jump to May 25 already. The trailer clocks in at over two minutes and shows us more of the movie than ever before, including great Han-and-Chewie moments, a super-cool Lando and the equally super-cool droid L3-37, and some kinetic Falcon action. The poster is an earth-toned, Western-movie-style image, featuring beautifully-painted takes on the main characters and a world from the film — it’s got a definite retro vibe and we love it.
