Take this for what it’s worth in your eyes given the source, but an article posted by Dan Wootoon over at The Sun is claiming that singer Ed Sheeran has landed a role in director J.J. Abrams’ Episode IX as a First Order trooper. If this casting rumor winds up being true, Sheeran’s inclusion as a trooper in the film would continue the Sequel Trilogy “tradition” if you will that started back in 2015 with The Force Awakens that had popular members of Hollywood donning the stark white armor of the First Order. Daniel Craig suited up as a trooper in TFA while Tom Hardy did the same in The Last Jedi (his scene was dropped from the final theatrical version of the film).
Royal princes Harry and William were also part of the same TLJ deleted scene that featured Hardy.
The music superstar is secretly filming as a stormtrooper in the new Star Wars movie, which stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Mark Hamill and a newcomer in The Americans actress Keri Russell.
I can reveal the world’s most successful male singer has been seen suiting up for scenes to appear in Episode IX, which has been filming at Pinewood Studios since August.
As stated above, consider this to be nothing more than 100% rumor material at this point.
