Over at Rotten Tomatoes they’ve created an editorial piece looking at the top 110 best Sci-Fi movies of all time.

Cue the theremin, summon some extraterrestrials, and insert that social commentary: It’s Rotten Tomatoes’ list of the 110 best sci-fi movies of all time, ranked by adjusted Tomatometer from at least 40 reviews!

Only 6 of the 8 Skywalker films make the cut, can you guess which 2 are missing? Both of the Star Wars story films make the chart, as does THX 1138. What Star Wars film will rank highest, the results may surprise….

  • Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi #81
  • Star Wars: Episode VI – Revenge of the Sith #79
  • Solo: A Star Wars Story #76
  • THX 1138 #63
  • Rogue One: A Star Wars Story #37
  • Star Wars: Episode VI – The Empire Strikes Back #14
  • Star Wars: Episode VI – A New Hope #11
  • Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens #7
  • Star Wars: The Last Jedi #6

The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones don’t make the chart, and the two sequel trilogy films make the top 10 pushing A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back out to the top 20.
