Sources tell Discussing Film that cameras are slated to start rolling for the new Disney+ Cassian Andor live-action spy series sometime in June. The series, set to be written by Tony Gilroy with Stephen Schiff as showrunner, is heading to Europe for filming and will look to explore the backstory of Cassian (played once again by Diego Luna from Rogue One) with Alan Tudyk reprising his role as K-2SO as well.
According to DF, the production team is looking to cast three young actors/actresses for the upcoming series – 9 and 13-year old boys to play younger versions of Cassian and a 9-year old girl to play his sister.
The currently-untitled series is scheduled to premiere sometime in 2021. Stay tuned for more on this Disney+ series right here on Jedi News as we hear it.
