Following up on their report from yesterday, The Digital Bits (TDB) has uncovered some more details about the 27-disc Star Wars: The Complete Skywalker Saga 4K Blu-ray boxed set that is slated to be released on March 31, 2020. The initial thought was that the boxed set would be exclusive to Best Buy only. However, TDB discovered that the set will be available in both special deluxe packaging available exclusively at Best Buy (see featured image above) as well as a standard edition release (the cover art shown at this link for the standard release is believed to be fake).
The product listing on Best Buy’s Canada website has been removed, but it was listed with a $329.99 price point before being taken down. A bonus disc for each of the nine Skywalker films will be included in the 27-disc boxed set. TDB believes all of the previous bonus content released for each film will be part of this 4K UHD boxed set, and they do not rule out the possibility of all-new bonus content for some/all of the films also being included in the set.
We eagerly look forward to Lucasfilm releasing an official announcement for this 4K set as well as more details (and high resolution images) on the special Best Buy exclusive release.
