New Episodes From All Disney+ Shows Will Be Available Weekly

Confirming what many had previously expected, The Wrap has received word from a Disney+ spokesperson that each new episode from the shows set to be delivered via the direct-to-consumer streaming service will be available on a weekly basis. Those who love to binge watch their online content unfortunately will be unable to do so.

If you were hoping to binge Jon Favreau’s “The Mandalorian” straight through — or any of the other Disney+ TV series that will be available when the streaming service launches Nov. 12 — then you are out of luck, because Disney plans to drop episodes weekly on the forthcoming platform.

During D23Expo in Anaheim, Calif. on Friday, “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” creator/co-showrunner Tim Federle told TheWrap his super-meta show would release its 10 episodes on a weekly basis. And a Disney+ spokesperson confirmed to us Saturday that all the streaming service’s series will follow this same format.

We already knew that only the debut episode of The Mandalorian will be available for fans to enjoy when Disney+ launches on Nov. 12, but now we have confirmation this will be the formula for all of the service’s shows as well.
