Michelle Keegan will star as Princess Leia in a new 30 minute comedy sketch show for UK TV Network, ITV.  The British actress is excited to be taking on the role:

Gushing about her new role in the 30-minute episode alongside Ant and Dec as Ewoks she said: “I’m excited to be part of this new show with Keith and Paddy and thrilled to be taking on the iconic role of Princess Leia, a strong, female heroine and all round Star Wars legend.

“I had so much fun and we had such a laugh filming that I can’t wait for everyone to see the final result.”

This Morning favourite Phillip Schofield will take on Yoda, Bargain Hunt’s David Dickinson as The Emperor while telly fans will be able to spot Jeremy Kyle – playing himself.

Show creator Leigh Franicis, known better as his alter-ego Keith Lemon, is a renowned Star Wars fan.  The Keith and Paddy Picture Show will be on later this year, and follows on from his previously highly popular take on Back to the Future.

UPDATE: Leigh Francis himself got in touch to make a small correction to our post.

So there you have it. Be sure to tune in to watch the show.
