Lucasfilm Is Not Casting For ‘Episode VIII’ In Scotland

Rumours are beginning to circulate the internet of possible casting initiative being undertaken in Scotland for The Last Jedi.  The casting is in fact for a film called ‘Mary Lou,’ perhaps better known as Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War, and an as yet untitled Avengers sequel.  Both films will be shooting back to back in the nation’s capital and in remote areas of the Highlands, with production running for six months.

The fact that the source of the rumours appears to refer to the nation of Scotland, and the country’s capital of Edinburgh as being locations in Ireland doesn’t help establish any credibility to the rumour, nor enamour itself with the locals!

Locations in Scotland were scouted for The Force Awakens, but ultimately the core shoot went to Skellig Michael, with only plates shot in the Highlands for the Maz’s Castle X-Wing approach scene.
