The Rise of Skywalker brings to a close the nine-film arc of the Skywalker saga in December. This is not the only thing that will come to an end at that time, John Williams will put down his baton and score no more when it comes to Star Wars films, although he will be back for Indiana Jones in 2021.
During an interview with The Times, Williams said that around 25-minutes of the score had been completed, and said this with regards the film….
“Williams beams when he talks about watching an early cut of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which will bring the nine-film space saga to an end this Christmas. He likes what he has seen “very much” and has so far written about 25 minutes of score in about a month.”
We look forward to hearing the score in full later this year. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker opens on December 20th.
