J.J. Abrams Talks The Rise of Skywalker on Good Morning America, Says The Film is Finished

Episode IX director J.J. Abrams was a guest earlier today on Good Morning America as the marketing blitz for The Rise of Skywalker begins to ramp up. During his segment, Abrams said that the film is finally finished as of yesterday and spoke briefly about how even with the elevated level of secrecy surrounding the film’s plot, one of the scripts made its way to eBay but was thankfully retrieved before the auction could end.

Abrams spoke about the topic of incorporating Carrie Fisher’s performance as General Leia into Episode IX via unused footage shot for The Force Awakens.
