Harrison Fords Says Indiana Jones 5 Will See Parts of His Character’s History Resolved

As fans continue to search high and low for any piece of concrete information pertaining to the development of the currently-untitled fifth film in the Indiana Jones franchise, lead star Harrison Ford has at least turned the faucet handle ever so slightly to allow an extremely small drip of news to come out of the pipes for us to drink in. He recently said he is expecting to begin filming on the project in the next two months and now offers up the following comments to IGN about how Indy 5 will aim to bring some resolution to certain aspects of his character’s storied past:

“Well, I’m not going to share the story with you because that doesn’t seem like a good idea,” Ford began. “But we’ll see new developments in his life, his relationship. We’ll see part of his history resolved.”

Ford added, “It’s a very good script. I’m looking forward to it.” That script was most recently worked on by Jonathan Kasdan, one of the writers of Solo: A Star Wars Story and the son of original Raiders of the Lost Ark screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan.

Do these comments by Ford hint at the possible return of actress Karen Allen’s Marion in the film? We’re not sure at this point. What we are sure about is the fifth Indy film will be directed by the legendary Steven Spielberg and will hit theaters on July 9, 2021.
