OK, I’m not exactly sure how to respond to this latest bit of news, so I’ll just step aside and let our readers form their own conclusions. During an interview segment in which USC Marshall School of Business dean Willow Bay interviewed her husband, Disney CEO Bob Iger, it was revealed by Iger that the upcoming young Han Solo standalone film will show us several things such as:

– It will profile Han from the ages of 18 to 24.
– How Han acquires the iconic Millennium Falcon.
– How Han begins to form his relationship with Chewbacca.
– How Han gets his name.

Wait, did I just type that and did you just read that last line? Is Iger truly saying that the character of Han Solo initially went by a different name in the official Star Wars canon?

Mind blown.

In addition, Iger went on to say that Carrie Fisher’s Leia will be featured pretty heavily in The Last Jedi and that Luke Skywalker’s dialogue will be expanding juuuuust a bit from his time in Episode VII.
