After being a mainstay of Chinese cinema for years, and securing his Hollywood credentials this year in the upcoming xXx: Return of Xander Cage and the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Hong Kong superstar Donnie Yen will be getting his handprints immortalised in cement outside of the TCL Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard on November 30.

Donnie expressed his gratitude in receiving this honor. Donnie said, “It’s an honor to be given this recognition – I want to thank everyone who have appreciated my work in the film industry. I hope to continue doing more for China!”

The TCL Chinese Theatre has over 200 handprints, footprints, and autographs on the concrete. After Jackie Chan, who gave his handprints in 1997 and 2013, Donnie is another major Chinese martial arts star to leave his mark there.

Although only receiving the honor now, Donnie was already active in Hollywood several years ago when he was an action choreographer. A bankable star in Asia for years, Donnie’s excellent performance in the highly acclaimed Ip Man propelled his career to new heights globally.
