Clarification On Timeline For Jon Favreau’s New ‘Star Wars’ Series

We now have some true concrete details on where in the official timeline Jon Favreau’s upcoming live-action Star Wars series will be taking place. The initial report that came out of the red carpet world premiere for Solo: A Star Wars Story stated his series would be occurring 7 years after the Battle of Endor. We have since learned that information is incorrect as we now have actual video of the interview Nerdist conducted with Favreau from the red carpet premiere.

Favreau states in the interview that his new series will take place 7 years after the Battle of Yavin, not Endor, which places it about 3 years after the events of Return of the Jedi. Favreau also stated we’ll be seeing all-new characters and planets in his series which will be debuting on Disney’s new streaming service. No official release date for this new Star Wars series has been announced yet by Lucasfilm, but the Disney streaming service will be launching sometime next year.
