Characters I Hold Dear: The Clone Wars: Ahsoka Tano

When The Clone Wars movie premiered and I saw it in theaters I was immediately drawn to Ahsoka. She was a new female character so that drew me in but, in addition to that she had some sass. As The Clone Wars TV Show has grown so has she and I admire her even more now. Her strength, control, intelligence and guts are qualities that everyone can aspire to have. In addition to the character we see on screen she is voiced by a woman that I consider to be a hero. She has become a hero for me and a role model. Her work with female fandom has inspired me to be stronger in my own fandom and she really gave me a reason to love my Fangirl self more. I owe Ashley Eckstein quite a bit as she has done interviews with me for Fangirl Next Door and she has also been so willing to be supportive. To top all of this off I even got a card from her for my Disney Wedding and I can’t explain to you how much that meant. The character of Ahsoka is so much more than the character that is on screen. She is epitomized by the Woman who plays her.

Ahsoka as a character has gone through many challenges and she always perseveres and comes out on top. She has grown to be a magnificent Jedi and rivals my spot for favorite Jedi. I love her lightsaber fighting style as well as her ability to use the force. She is much more military than other female Jedi and I admire that. I love that she is so passionate and caring and truly believes that there is always good in people. She is a true fighter for liberty and justice

All I can say is thank you Ahsoka and Ashley for all you have done for me as a fangirl.
