Last week we learned that director Ron Howard’s Solo: A Star Wars Story would be making its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival 10 days ahead of the film’s theatrical release in the US on May 25. According to the Cannes Film Festival website, the finished runtime for the second Star Wars standalone film is set at 2 hours and 15 minutes. While it may come up a bit short of topping Rian Johnson’s The Last Jedi (2 hours 32 minutes) as the longest-running Star Wars film, this stated runtime falls in line with the length of the other theatrical films released in the franchise.
