Actress and daughter of the late Carrie Fisher, Billie Lourd, believes fans are in store for a real treat when they pack movie theaters in December 2019 to experience director J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars Episode IX. Speaking briefly with ET Online, Lourd, who will be reprising her role as Resistance member Lt. Kaydel Connix in the final installment of the Sequel Trilogy, used the term “magical” when describing Episode IX.
“I gotta watch myself because the Star Wars PD is going to come get me, but it is incredible,” Lourd, who plays Lieutenant Connix in the latest Star Wars trilogy, tells ET. “I’ve read the script and I’ve been on set. I was on set for, like, three weeks back in September, and it is going to be magical.”
“I can’t say much more, but I’m so excited about it and so grateful to be a part of it,” she adds. “Star Wars is my heart. I love it.”
Fans will be able to see their beloved Leia on the silver screen one final time as Fisher’s iconic character will be included in Episode IX via the use of unused footage that was shot for The Force Awakens.
