Warwick Davis was the mystery fan favourite British actor who has appeared in six Star Wars films and was on hand to meet our competition winner at Argos last Friday, the day of release of the the highly anticipated game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
To celebrate Argos employed Warwick Davis for the day to work in their Old Street branch in London. We got there bright and early and were soon joined by our competition winners, who were given the the opportunity to enter Star Wars-style trade negotiations with Warwick for their own copy of the game. Warwick met us at the front of the store wearing a regulation Argos staff top and name badge, ready to trade the winner’s items including a cuddly Ewok, a Star Wars concept art book and an original Kenner R2-D2 action figure from the 70’s. Warwick asked each winner why they had chosen their specific item and then posed for photographs with them. All trades was successful with each winner receiving a copy of the game and an Argos gift voucher. Max was chosen by Warwick as trading the most sentimental item, the vintage R2-D2, and was rewarded with the latest Microsoft Xbox Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order console bundle.
Warwick was charismatic and engaging, delighting the winners by spending time with them and answering their questions. The winners left just as the doors opened to the public, and Warwick was ready and willing to serve saying “I’m here to help!”. If Warwick ever decides to give up his life in show business he most certainly has a career waiting for him at Argos, he’s a natural! Big thanks to Argos and Warwick.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is available now on PS4, Xbox and PC from Argos.
