Star Wars Land Construction progress continues rapidly! It’s fascinating to look back at what was once a pile of dirt. Fortunately, Richard and I head to the Parks quite often since we live 20 minutes away. Every time we’ve been to the Disneyland Resort since April 2016 we’ve made a video to document the progress of Star Wars Land. In fact, the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure overlooks the Northwest section of Disneyland – exactly where Star Wars Land will be. Convenient.

Here is the latest Star Wars Land Construction Update as of May 11, 2017:

Now let’s zoom back in time. Compare the current progress to 13 months ago – April 29, 2016:

Star Wars author, engineer and podcaster Tricia Barr (Fangirls Going Rogue / FanGIRL Blog) was able to shed some light on the various aspects of construction in this update from August 18, 2016:

We have several more Construction Updates since then, but let’s jump ahead to December 2016, just one week before the release of ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY:

Now let’s zoom to February 2017. It’s amazing what 2 months will do. All of a sudden, Star Wars Land is expanding up!

Upwards and onwards! I can’t WAIT until Star Wars Land opens in 2019. It will be fascinating to ride the rides and think back to what it all looked like as it was being built.
