Anyone who attended the marvellous Star Wars In Concert tours will be thrilled to hear that rumours are circulating about the return of the show next year. Our friend Christoph from fan site StarWars-Union.de brings us news of developments in Germany regarding the show.

I’m getting in touch today in the spirit of European exchange, so to speak, because Disney Germany recently announced that Star Wars in Concert would be back next year.

Now, they didn’t say a thing about European tour dates but they did announce that the tour would kick off on February 6th 2018 in Frankfurt’s Old Opera House and then play all over Germany and Austria up until April 20th. As far as European tour stops were concerned, the announcement didn’t really say anything but the premiere event in Frankfurt is referred to as a “European premiere” which at least suggests that there might be concerts in your vicinity.

While the earlier Star Wars in Concert events were devoted to all the movies (well, all six at that time), there is a new focus this time around: It’s all about A New Hope. Disney states that “the whole movie will be shown on the big screen and the multiple award-winning music will be played live by a symphonic orchestra for an intense movie experience”
