The brand new red-clad Sith Trooper from director J.J. Abrams’ The Rise of Skywalker made its first public appearance yesterday during Preview Night at San Diego Comic-Con. To go along with the early assortment of photos that we posted taken from the Lucasfilm pavilion and Hasbro booth here and here, we can now add an awesome video tour of the pavilion to those photos.
In addition, we have the following comments made by J.J. Abrams during a video segment played at the Lucasfilm pavilion in regards to the design of the new Sith Trooper:
“The materials, the color, the lines, there was something about the aesthetic of it that just felt absolutely right,” said J.J. Abrams, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker co-writer/director, in the exhibit’s video. “I cannot wait for people to see the work that everyone’s done.” Indeed, the mini-documentary offers a tantalizing glimpse behind the scenes at the making of the armor, and the results are striking.
