San Diego Comic-Con Teases Virtual #ComicConAtHome Convention For 2020

With the actual in-person convention having been officially cancelled last month, the organizers of San Diego Comic-Con are teasing a new form of virtual convention for 2020 via the brief YouTube video embedded below. Using the hashtag #ComicConAtHome, it looks like fans will be getting a taste of SDCC this summer after all as the video highlights that badges need not apply to be able to “attend” this event, the elimination of lines, and other things.

Logistics of #ComicConAtHome still need to be ironed out/announced (dates for the virtual event, how panels are handled, guest/movie studio participation, ability to obtain exclusive items, etc), but based on this encouraging video, 2020 will have a SDCC presence in some form or another as we continue to fight the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Stay tuned for more as we hear it.
