One of the main programming highlights for Sunday at Star Wars Celebration Chicago 2019 was the panel dedicated to the return of Ahsoka Tano, Captain Rex, and the rest of The Clone Wars gang. Dave Filoni was joined on stage by Dee Bradley Baker, Ashley Eckstein, Sam Witwer, and other main cast members to celebrate #CloneWarsSaved. A recap of what went down during the panel can be found at StarWars.com.
Filoni treated the audience to three different clips from the season in addition to a make-the-hair-on-the-back-of-your-neck trailer. Blink and you were bound to miss something stellar. Here’s hoping the trailer lands on the official Star Wars YouTube Channel REAL SOON.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the beloved animated series, is not only saved — it’s alive and well. In a panel today at Star Wars Celebration Chicago, Dave Filoni, supervising director on the series, actors Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka Tano), Dee Bradley Baker (Rex and all the clone troopers), Sam Witwer (Darth Maul), and more of the cast discussed the return of the show — and offered a glimpse of what’s to come when it debuts on Disney+. Here are 9 things we learned, along with many of the images shown, including concept sketches from the original production of the show, new character designs, and stills from upcoming episodes.
Oh, and as for the “explosive” image of Ahsoka seen below? That was the artwork featured on a giveaway poster that attendees at the panel were able to take home!
