Hats Off to Prop Store as First Order Stormtrooper Helmet Raises £135,300 for NSPCC

The Prop Store held their annual Entertainment Memorabilia Auction yesterday in London, and among the numerous Star Wars items available was a First Order Stormtrooper helmet from Star Wars: The Last Jedi. This helmet was donated by Lucasfilm, via costume designer Michael Kaplin, with all proceeds being donated directly to the UK children’s charity NSPCC. The estimated amount for this piece was £30,000 – £50,000 but on the day it went for a staggering £135,300 ($179,218) — over £100,000 more than the estimate! Meanwhile if Indiana Jones is more your thing, his hat from Raiders of the Lost Ark became the most expensive item ever sold from that film franchise. The iconic hat worn by Harrison Ford went for a mouthwatering £393,600 ($521,362) — hats off to all those involved!
