Google Maps Stumbles Upon Millennium Falcon Structure, Delights Fans

There’s always a spark of glee when one of our articles catches on and gets shared on other sites, and today we got a big kick when this post on Fox News was brought to our attention.

Now, we must point out that the image was sent to us by Jedi News reader Pete Hibbert and it’s his good detective work that found the Falcon so hats off to him.

Google Maps has released an image that contains a life-sized model of the iconic Millennium Falcon.

The structure was found in a movie backlot at Longcross Studios, located just outside of London, according to Yahoo News.

Yahoo reports that British website Jedi News, which touts itself as a broadcaster of Star Wars news, shared the discovery via a Tweet.

‘Touts itself’? How very dare they!
