C-3PO actor Anthony Daniels and Michael Pennington – aka Death Star commander Moff Jerjerrod – will both be appearing at this month’s MCM London Comic Con.
The only actor to star in all eight of the main Star Wars episodes, Anthony Daniels also plays C-3PO in Gareth Edwards’ acclaimed spin-off Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, as well voicing the fretful golden protocol droid in four animated series – Droids, Tartakovsky’s Clone Wars, Star Wars: The Clone Wars and the recently-concluded Star Wars Rebels.
C-3PO has also been much in demand outside the official Star Wars franchise, with Daniels making cameos a host of films and TV shows including The Lego Movie, The Muppet Show, Sesame Street and Wreck-It Ralph 2, which premieres this November.
Meanwhile, acclaimed actor Michael Pennington appeared in Return of the Jedi as Imperial Moff Jerjerrod. The commander of the second Death Star, Tiaan Jerjerrod is the unfortunate officer in charge of the galactic superweapon’s construction – a scheme that the Rebel Alliance is determined to prevent at all costs.
While Pennington’s role as Jerjerrod has cemented his spot in sci-fi movie history, he is best known as an accomplished stage actor and the co-founder with director Michael Bogdanov of the English Shakespeare Company.
These two are also joined by previously announced Star Wars guests James Arnold-Taylor and Taylor Gray — all appearing at ExCeL London between 25th and 27th May. Get your tickets here.
