65,000 Fans Attended Star Wars Celebration Chicago 2019

Lost in all the excitement surrounding new details centered around director J.J. Abrams’ The Rise of Skywalker in Vanity Fair’s featured story from last month was a sentence that said 65,000 fans had attended Star Wars Celebration Chicago 2019. While this number falls short of setting a Celebration attendance record (Celebration Orlando 2017 owns the record with over 70,000 attendees), it’s definitely nothing to sneeze at for sure as fans gathered from all four corners of the globe to celebrate the saga we all love so much.

Will Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2020 top those lofty 2017 attendance numbers when the four-day event arrives August 27-30? We shall see when the doors close on the last day of the convention, but what we do know for certain is that tickets to next year’s Celebration at the Anaheim Convention Center will be going on sale this Friday June 21 at 9:00am PT.
