Yesterday Disney UK held their Christmas in September event in London. The event is held annually and showcases all the products they expect to be popular over the holiday season.
The products included cover the vast range of franchises owned by including classic Disney characters, Pixar, Winnie the Pooh, Marvel and of course Star Wars.

First up was Disney’s ‘Top Picks’ – this included an awesome Mickey and Minnie Mouse Teapot and Mug, alongside the Forces of Destiny Rey/BB-8 2-pack and Hasbro’s ‘Choose Your Path Lightsaber’. Products for ‘My First Christmas’ included the assortment of small Star Wars plush from Paws International. ‘Gifts for Kids’ included some bigger plush toys, LEGO, dress-up, and the newest droid from The Last Jedi, BB-9E. ‘Gifts for Teens’ included a Stormtrooper soap-on-a-rope, some more advanced LEGO sets and some terrific books from DK and Egmont. Adults weren’t left out either – ‘Gifts for Adults’ included the new Star Wars Kirigami from Chronicle Books, the Star Wars 40th Anniversary Tin from Egmont, themed Christmas jumpers and a travel set of Star Wars fragrances from KeepMe. The ‘Home and Living’ section was filled with some great new dinner ware from Beauty and the Beast, and a BB-8 ceramic Cookie Jar with sounds from Funko. ‘Gadgets and Tech’ included the latest products from Sphero – Spiderman, BB-9E and R2-D2, along with the Star Wars Drones from Propel. There were lots of products in the ‘Stocking Fillers’ section including pen sets, lots of itty bitty plush from Hallmark, and more health/beauty products from Grosvenor.

Taking the steps downstairs led to the Dark Side, and their impressive display of Star Wars products from The Last Jedi. All the products on display were shown and demonstrated at last week’s press event and included the new Holopanes from Wow Stuff, Big Figs from Jakks, electric razors from Philips, new Disney Store exclusive merchandise including dress up, Elite figures & more, numerous products from Hasbro, the awesome Droid Inventor Kit from littleBits, new LEGO Star Wars sets, and lots of Funko POP! Products including the Mystery Minis.

It was a great showcase of what we can expect to see at retail now and in the lead up to Christmas. Big thanks for the team at Disney UK for inviting us.
